Panama Airport Terminal 2
Panama Airport Terminal 2, also denominated South Terminal, stands for the new terminal at PTY Airport. It is located south of Terminal 1.
Copa Airlines has moved all its operations to Terminal 2.
Panama Terminal 2 handles the vast majority of international services, including flights to several European destinations.
Levels
Panama Airport Terminal 2 has 116,000 square meters’ surface distributed into four levels.
Other features
20 boarding gates and 8 remote gates some of them capable to accommodate the Airbus A380, and a new baggage handling system between both terminals, which will ease the baggage inspection and reduce waiting times.
Transfer between terminals
Panama Airport Terminal 2 is connected to Panama Airport Terminal 1 by a 172 meters’ long connector.
In that sense, transfer between terminals can be done by foot. The connector building is also equipped with retail stores.
